Senior Bios: Jon Taylor

Jon Taylor has extensive experience in the energy, water and environmental fields where he has served as a policy and collaborative solutions specialist. He has designed, managed and facilitated high-level collaboratives, public involvement processes, and business and partnership relationships.

Jon Taylor has over ten years experience as a project manager, public involvement specialist, collaborative process manager, and environmental engineering consultant, with an emphasis on energy, water and the environment.

Mr. Taylor has established and run executive advisory boards and associated subcommittees to assist licensing, fund raising and partnership efforts for Verdant Power, a renewable energy start-up; designed, implemented and facilitated stakeholder involvement processes for the Department of the Interiors' Renewable Energy and Alternative Use policy development program; managed and co-facilitated the successful Settlement Agreement negotiations for the Department of Water Resources Oroville Facilities relicensing including public outreach and education.

Mr. Taylor has also worked as the project manager and subgroup facilitator for the CALFED Regulatory Commitments - User Contributions forum. These multi-party discussions served to identify conservation projects, determine dollars spent and dollars remaining to be spent, and re-prioritize the remaining funds based on the balance of primary goals for agencies involved.

Mr. Taylor was the co-facilitator for the FERC Integrated Licensing Process (ILP) collaborative workshops. He assisted in the development of a new federal licensing process for hydroelectric facilities which was subsequently approved by the Commission in July 2003.

Mr. Taylor has advised start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, public and private utilities, nonprofit and government clients, including Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, California Department of Water Resources, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, California Department of Fish & Game, American Rivers, National Heritage Institute, US Fish and Wildlife Service, NOAA Fisheries, Verdant Power and others.
