Stephanie Obadia has significant experience in public affairs, stakeholder relations, media relations and outreach management. Throughout her career at Kearns & West, she has been involved in intellectual property, transportation, homeland security, hydro power relicensing, and health communication projects. Her experience includes project management, strategic planning, data collection and analysis, and facilitation support.

As a director, Stephanie manages the Kearns & West team supporting Federal Highway Administration’s STEP outreach project by developing and implementing research marketing and communications plans. She leads team members providing strategic counsel to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s SIRA OPIR Outreach Team to develop successful e-Commerce outreach strategies. Stephanie’s experience includes identifying key stakeholder groups, managing relationships, and planning events to educate stakeholders.

She has received several recognitions for her work on federal government outreach programs for the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Stephanie received two awards for her contributions to the deployment of US-VISIT and for her participation in border outreach coordination meetings along the borders of the United States. In 2007, she received the “United States Patent & Trademark Office Certificate of Recognition for Contributions to the Success of EFS-Web” for her outreach support in the launch of the new electronic patent filing system.

Dedicated to providing clients with high quality products and services, Stephanie focuses her efforts on listening to clients’ needs, understanding target audiences and developing cost-effective solutions. She leads the Kearns & West Collaborative Technology Team by analyzing the latest technologies and social media tools.

Stephanie is based in Kearns & West’s Washington, D.C. office. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations with minors in Marketing and Speech Communications from York College of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Professional Women, and serves as a judge for the Stevie Awards sponsored by American Business.
